Jim Ehrman's silverifsh


This is an image of a silverfish taken 
with a scanning electron microscope at 
the Digital Microscopy Facility at Mount 
Allison University.


This this is a higher magnification
view of the posterior of the silverfish:


This is a view of the silverfish body scales.
These scales are easily shed as a
strategy to avoid predators (or
volunteering as an SEM specimen!):
